Jes Reger
St. Joseph the Worker Catholic School
Weirton, Hancock County, West Virginia
A native of the Mountain State, Jes Reger is a watercolorist, teaching artist, and observer—often finding inspiration in and around the hills of West Virginia. She captures life with all its delicacies and imperfections with paint and paper, aiming to educate and uncover the natural world in which we live. Her work is loose and unformed, inviting viewers to see beyond the ordinary and encouraging them to take a step outside and explore nature.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies concentrated in Visual Arts and Creative Writing from West Liberty University in 2014; since graduating, she teaches art classes to adults and children at the Stifel Fine Arts Center in Wheeling, as well as offering private watercolor and drawing lessons from her home studio, The Painter’s Nest. Her work has been exhibited at The Stifel Fine Arts Center, Artworks Around Town, The Artisan Center (all in Wheeling), and Summit Art Gallery (in Weirton).
